PHINDaccess course: Inititaion to Slurm (March, 10, 2021)

cours-slurm-final-pdfSlurm is an open source fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cluster management and job scheduling system for large and small Linux clusters. Slurm as a job scheduler is responsible for listening to job requests, then finding the proper compute node that meets job's resource requirements including RAM, number of cores, time, etc. Slurm dispatches jobs to a compute node, collects info about the completed work, and stores information about jobs.

Participants are expected to use it to run their jobs on the cluster to analyse and interpret their high-throughput OMIC datasets.CHECK THE PROGRAM : click here LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

  1. Learn about resources sharing techniques and tools.
  2. Interact with HPC using SLURM.
  3. Use scientific tools with SLURM.
  4. Monitor and investigate submitted jobs.

This course is restricted to the young researchers previously selected from IPT's research labs and to other IPT candidates that already have generated OMICS data to analyze using IPT-HPC.
